In search of folk art
The exhibition was timed to coincide with the Year of Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia and on the eve of the 100th anniversary of the formation of the USSR. The curators of the project strive to present this phenomenon as a grandiose and successful social and artistic experiment of the Soviet era, to show its multi-layeredness and ambiguity.
