Museum of Decorative, Applied and Folk Art
The Museum of Decorative, Applied and Folk Art in Tula is a structural subdivision of the State Institution of Culture of Tula Oblast "Tula Museum Union". It is located in a historic building, formerly the merchant Sisiny family mansion (18th century) at 12 Metallistov Street. In 2020, after moving to the Museum Quarter, the space was given new life: an exhibition was set up that introduces visitors to the traditions of manual labor, everyday life, and artistic crafts of the region. The core of the collection consists of authentic items from the funds of the Tula Museum Union. The exposition is arranged to show how worldview, rituals, and aesthetics are embodied in objects. The collection features products characteristic of Tula Oblast and neighboring regions: Filimonov toys, Tula city toys, and Beloe lace products.
