Museum of samovars and bouillottes

private collection of decorative and applied arts. Its founder was the collector Mikhail Mikhailovich Borshchev: the formation of the collection began in the early 2000s. Items came into the collection in different ways - through antique shops, from private owners, and also as gifts. The exhibition was first opened to the public in 2009. To date, over 600 items are publicly available. The main scientific and exhibition value of the collection is that it clearly illustrates the geography and evolution of samovar production. In the halls of the museum you can trace the development of the industry not only in Tula, but also in other regions of Russia: in the Urals (including early examples of the factories of Grigory Demidov, merchants Turchaninovs, Osokins), in the Yaroslavl and Vladimir provinces.
