Royal Copenhagen

The exhibition in the Great Stone Greenhouse presents a monographic exhibition dedicated to the phenomenon of Danish porcelain - from the last quarter of the 18th to the mid-20th century. The project is dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the Royal Danish Manufactory. The exhibition is structured into three thematic blocks: works using the technique of overglaze painting and bisque ceramics, unique pieces by leading manufacturers, as well as examples of mass production - sets and tea pairs, reflecting the everyday use of Scandinavian porcelain. Among the iconic examples are the Flora Danica series with botanical motifs, bisque sculptures and works in the “Copenhagen style” with monochrome painting, where the depth of the image is achieved through nuances of tonality. The exhibition included items from the collections of the Museum of Ceramics (as part of the Ostankino and Kuskovo State Museum of Fine Arts), the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts. A. S.
