The whims of a gallant age. French art of the 18th century
The exhibition is dedicated to French art of the 18th century - from the characteristic forms of the previous century and the emergence of the Rococo style to the new ideals of the Enlightenment. The exhibition presents works by followers of Antoine Watteau, whose work became a symbol of the beginning of the century. A significant section of the exhibition includes interior decoration items from the gallant age - examples of weaving craftsmanship, furniture and artistic bronzes, such as clocks, table decorations, candelabra and incense burners.
