Volga. Moscow. Neva. Saratov Symbolists in Moscow and Leningrad 1920–1940s

The exhibition is dedicated to the work of Volga artists of the first half of the 20th century - natives of Saratov, who had a significant influence on the art of Moscow and Leningrad. The exhibition traces their creative path: from the famous associations “Blue Rose” and “Scarlet Rose” to the radical innovations of the avant-garde of the 1920s, projects of Soviet monumental painting and the search for a new painting in the 1930s–1950s.
