The exhibition was dedicated to the collection of the outstanding Russian philanthropist and collector Dmitry Gennadievich Burylin (1852–1924), who is known as a passionate collector of Russian and European art, as well as oriental antiquities. In 1930, the eastern part of his collection was divided and is currently stored in the State Museum of Oriental Art, the Ivanovo State History and Local Lore Museum and the Ivanovo Regional Art Museum. The exhibition will feature approximately 200 items from these collections. Among them are unique samples of fabrics, ceramics, weapons, numismatics, manuscripts and objects of decorative and applied art of the peoples of the Far and Middle East from the 12th to the beginning of the 20th centuries.
