Yaroslavl Art Museum, Governor's House

The Governor's House houses the exposition "Russian Art of the XVIII–XX centuries". Paintings by Aivazovsky, Levitsky, Bryullov, Repin, Savrasov, Shishkin, Levitan, Korovin, canvases by masters of the Russian avant-garde, Soviet official and alternative art, as well as works by contemporary authors. The Museum of Foreign Art is located in a two-story mansion on Sovetskaya Square, built in the first third of the 19th century. Now you can see the Western European art of the XVI – early XX centuries and the art of the East of the XVIII – early XX centuries.
