Museum of Russian Naval Glory

one of the largest museum collections of oriental art in Russia. Founded in Moscow on October 30, 1918, in the early 2020s. located in the estate of the Lunins (1813–1823, architect D. Gilardi) and in pavilion No. 13 at VDNKh. Since 1985, the North Caucasus branch has been operating in Maykop. The collection contains objects from more than 100 countries in Asia and Africa, totaling more than 150 thousand, dating from the Neolithic era to the 21st century. The collections are formed according to geographical principles (Far East, Near and Middle East, Southeast Asia, South, Central and Central Asia, North Caucasus and Transcaucasia, Siberia and the Far North, North and Tropical Africa, etc.) and according to the materials from which specific items are made. The museum conducts active scientific and educational work.
