Museum-estate of I. E. Repin “Penates”
Branch of the Scientific Research Museum at the Russian Academy of Arts. It was here that Ilya Efimovich Repin (1844–1930) lived the last 30 years of his life and wished to be buried here. Opened in 1940 in the estate, the museum became one of the first memorial museums in the country under the auspices of the Russian Academy of Arts.
